AMERICAN TRADITIONS:Selected works by Fred Place and Raymond Davis

Simons Fine Art Gallery is proud to present American Traditions, an exhibit of original paintings by Bucks County artists Fred Place and Raymond Davis, on exhibit from Sept 7 – Oct 31, 2013. Please join us for a Meet the Artist opening reception Saturday, Sept 7, from 12:00 – 4:00 pm at our gallery located at 122 N. Main Street in Downtown Dublin.

Fred Place is an award winning watercolor artist, and lifelong Bucks County resident. Through the strong use of color and composition, his paintings draw the viewer into the scene, transporting them into the local landscapes that so inspire him. Evidence of his favorite artists, Winslow Homer and Andrew Wyeth can be seen in his images.

Raymond Davis, an oil painter living in Bucks County, is a third year student at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts in Philadelphia. His work is inspired by the masters, reflecting rich skin tones and classic figures reminiscent of Singer Sergeant. Coming off a successful show at the academy, Simons Fine Art is thrilled to bring his work to his hometown and to introduce him to the local art community.
